Séminaire d'épistémologie sociale : les passions épistémiques (crédulité, propagande, désaccords et fausses nouvelles)
Lundi de 13 h à 15 h (salle 2, 105 bd Raspail 75006 Paris), du 15 janvier 2018 au 28 mai 2018
Ce séminaire s’insère dans la recherche contemporaine en épistémologie sociale. Nous essaierons d’examiner avec les outils de ce champ de recherche le rapport entre émotion et vérité dans la gestion et la manipulation des passions épistémiques. L’opinion publique est-elle manipulable ? Par quels mécanismes ? À qui et pourquoi faut-il croire ? Quel est le rôle de l’expertise dans les démocraties ? Quelles sont les formes de propagande propres à la démocratie ? Le séminaire proposera un parcours de lectures de philosophie contemporaine et des classiques de la philosophie et des sciences sociales du XXe siècle pour illustrer ces questions en présentant en même temps des notions clé de l’épistémologie sociale.
La connaissance de l’anglais est requise. Des lectures obligatoires seront distribuées à chaque séance
